Full time, 40 hours per week, located at Atrium Health Levine Children’s, the largest Children’s health system between Atlanta and Washington, DC. The role is part of the Virtual Services Group within Children’s Primary Care Division, based in the Charlotte, NC area.

Three Pediatric Advanced Practice Clinicians are needed for the Virtual Practice Support and Extended Care multisite practice.

• Serve as Virtual Practice Support (VPS) clinicians affiliated with multiple “brick and mortar” practices, providing inbox coverage, managing refill requests, performing virtual visits, and managing chronic conditions during the day.
• Provide in‑office coverage for providers out of the office when needed.
• Transition to shared in‑person after‑hours care in the evenings and on weekends at the Extended Care location (5‑8 pm Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑8 pm Saturday‑Sunday). Provides a mix of virtual/remote and direct patient care.
• Perform initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments.
• Record findings, write prescriptions, administer medications, order and interpret laboratory and radiology examinations, determine treatment plan, and document all patient encounters in the medical record.
• Act as a patient advocate for the population served.
• Participate in group/practice meetings, contributing to policy development when requested.

Walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, bend, stoop, push, and pull. Must lift and support up to 35 pounds. Must speak English fluently and have intact sensory and dexterity abilities. Will work a mixed rotation of shifts covering weekdays, nights, swing, holidays, and weekends, totaling >400 hours of weekend and/or night coverage.

Must have or be eligible for a DEA license and a registered nurse license in the state where practice occurs. Requires BLS certification with expiration
