Our retirement community is seeking a Full-Time Floor Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our caring and professional team on the day shift (6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.). This position plays a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care, promoting resident well-being, and supporting a positive living environment for our residents.
PositionSummary
The Floor Nurse is responsible for delivering direct nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and community policies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a genuine passion for serving older adults.
Essential Responsibilities- Provide skilled nursing care and oversee resident health and wellness.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor resident conditions and report changes to physicians and appropriate team members.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing care.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members, residents, and family members.
- Respond promptly to resident needs, emergencies, and health concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and community regulations.
- Supervise and support nursing assistants and other caregiving staff as assigned.
- Promote resident dignity, comfort, and quality of life.

- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, skilled nursing, or geriatric care preferred.
- Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
