Licensed Practical Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to incarcerated patients under RN/physician supervision
• Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations per protocols
• Perform patient assessments, vitals, and basic triage for sick call
• Document care accurately in medical records and maintain confidentiality
• Assist with chronic care, intake screenings, and segregation rounds
• Respond to medical emergencies within the facility
• Collaborate with custody staff to support safety and security procedures
• Educate patients on health, medications, and chronic disease management
• Maintain infection control, sanitation, and clinical supply standards
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives
