Seeking an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem work in Gastonia/Lincoln.
Responsibilities- Apply nursing theories and concepts to patient care.
- Document care to meet reimbursement guidelines.
- Coordinate physical care with patients, families, physicians, and the hospice team.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and agency personnel.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and quality reviews.
- Current RN licensure in the practicing state.
- Graduated from an approved nursing program.
- At least two years of clinical nursing experience, with one year in hospice preferred.
- Knowledge of home health and hospice care organization and nurse roles.
- Understanding of nursing practice act, agency policies, and reimbursement guidelines.
- 12 hours of annual continuing education.
- CPR certification.
- Willingness to travel and participate in weekend, evening, and holiday call duties.
