Job Description Summary
Responsible for assisting with operational and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial/industrial buildings, industrial systems, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties/facilities.

ShiftMonday‑Friday Day Shift (potential for overtime/on‑call hours)
Experience & Education Requirements- Technical, vocational, or on‑the‑job training in at least one of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, building construction, and plumbing
- 3+ years of related experience in a property maintenance setting
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license (commercial license may be required) and good driving record with periodic checks
- Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Current possession of EPA licensing or ability to become registered
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Technical proficiency with HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing
- Technical proficiency and comfort with troubleshooting various mechanical systems
- Flexibility to provide critical services as needed
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritize work requests received
- Sense of urgency and personal initiative to succeed
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, air compressors, plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop equipment, grounds equipment, and HVAC systems, among others
- This position requires HVAC repair and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems
- Review, create, and maintain assigned work orders with associated paperwork within a digital computerized maintenance management system
- Understand paperwork associated with a purchase order system
- Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, and paint walls, piping, floors, and equipment
- Experience and/or certification in aerial and man‑lifts is beneficial
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, perform reactive and preventative maintenance
- Maintain and operate fire and life‑safety systems such as fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and related fire protection equipment
- Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and grounds maintenance
- Identify and work with potential outside contractors/vendors from sourcing to quotation to job completion
- Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer service requests as assigned, including a potential rotating on‑call schedule
- Use technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web‑based applications, and building automation systems
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and practice safe work habits
- Complete all required safety training as scheduled monthly or annually
- Adhere to the company dress code while working and maintain a neat and clean appearance while on the property at times outside of working hours
This maintenance job operates in a professional office environment as well as industrial/warehouse type environments both indoors and outdoors. The role routinely uses maintenance tools and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. The maintenance staff member may be the only one on duty during certain shifts and may be required to work extended periods of time without relief when responding to priority or emergency situations, including overtime assignments.
Shift work and stand‑by on‑call duties may also be required.
