Security Access Control Technician

Jones Advisors HR Consulting is recruiting on behalf of one of our growing security systems clients in the Raleigh-Durham area.

We're looking for an experienced technician who knows commercial access control and security systems, takes pride in clean work, can troubleshoot in the field, and doesn't need someone looking over their shoulder all day. This is NOT an entry-level cable-pulling position.

• Install, troubleshoot and test commercial access control systems
• Work with card readers, electric strikes & mag locks
• Manage control panels & power supplies
• Set up intercom & intrusion systems
• Work with low-voltage cabling
• Integrate networked security devices
• Read drawings, troubleshoot field issues, test your work and complete installations to professional standards

• 2+ years of low-voltage experience
• Hands-on commercial access control experience
• Commercial security installation experience
• Ability to read construction/security drawings
• Basic networking/IP/PoE knowledge
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver's license

• Experience with Mercury, HID, LenelS2, Genetec, CCURE, Avigilon/Openpath, Verkada, Axis, Allegion, ASSA ABLOY or similar systems is a big plus.
• Manufacturer certifications are a plus.

• $20–$30/hour based on experience & certifications
