Warehouse Lead

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the warehouse by coordinating workflow, guiding warehouse associates, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring orders are received, picked, packed, staged, and shipped safely and efficiently. This role serves as the primary point of contact on the warehouse floor and helps ensure productivity, quality, housekeeping, and safety standards are consistently met.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, staging, loading, shipping, and inventory movement.
  • Assign work to warehouse team members and monitor progress to ensure daily operational goals are met.
  • Train, coach, and support warehouse associates on standard operating procedures, safety practices, equipment use, and productivity expectations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by supporting cycle counts, physical inventories, discrepancy research, and proper product handling.
  • Ensure customer orders are picked, checked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and other warehouse tools, as required.
  • Monitor warehouse cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards throughout the shift.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with company policies, OSHA safety standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Identify workflow issues, safety concerns, inventory discrepancies, or staffing needs and elevate them to management promptly.
  • Prepare basic reports or updates related to productivity, shipments, inventory, attendance, equipment issues, and operational priorities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve accuracy, efficiency, safety, and team performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse and business needs.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, fulfillment, manufacturing, or similar environment.
  • Previous lead, trainer, senior associate, or informal supervisory experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification within the required timeframe.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience using warehouse management systems, scanners, inventory systems, or Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, safety procedures, shipping documents, and inventory records.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with heavier lifts performed with assistance or equipment as required.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment that may include varying temperatures, noise, dust, and frequent movement of people, products, and equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate or work around forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, dock equipment, and other warehouse tools.
Work Schedule

This position may require flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or adjusted shifts based on business needs.
