Experienced Children’s Residential Support Workers – Agency Work

The Recruitment Crowd is expanding and we are recruiting experienced Children’s Residential Support Workers to join our temporary agency workforce
, supporting children and young people in UK residential care settings.

This is agency-based work
. It is not a permanent or full-time position
, and hours cannot be guaranteed
. This role is best suited to professionals who already have solid experience in children’s residential care and are comfortable working flexibly across services.

• We cannot work with candidates who require sponsorship now or in the future.
• You must already have full Right to Work in the UK.

To be considered, you must have recent, paid experience working in the UK with children and young people in a residential setting.

You must have:

• A minimum of 6 months’ experience working with Looked After Children within a UK children’s residential setting.
• Experience gained within the UK (overseas experience alone cannot be considered).

Applications without this specific experience will unfortunately not be progressed.

As an Agency Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will:

• Provide high-quality care, guidance, and emotional support to children and young people.
• Promote independence, safety, and wellbeing at all times.
• Follow individual care plans and behaviour support strategies.
• Support the delivery of safe, engaging, and age-appropriate activities.
• Accompany young people to appointments, education, and community activities.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, including daily notes, incidents, medication, and family contact.
• Work professionally alongside internal teams and external professionals.

• Minimum 6 months’ UK experience working with children in residential care (essential)
• Confidence working with Looked After Children and complex needs.
• A calm, resilient, and professional approach.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
• Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People (or equivalent) – essential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable)
• Full Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
