4-4 – Continental Shift Pattern – 2 Days, 2 Nights and 4 Off
Zenith People are working with our client who are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Technician with an electrical bias or multi-skilled background to join a busy Maintenance Department.

Job Responsibilities
 
* Maintain plant and equipment, assist with installation and commissioning of new systems, and support upgrades of existing equipment
 
* Develop skills through training and experience, while supporting the development of colleagues
 
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Primary Activities
 
* Work safely at all times, following instructions, procedures, permits, lock-offs, and safety systems
 
* Assist in safety improvements wherever possible
 
* Carry out reactive maintenance (e.g., breakdowns) and proactive maintenance (e.g., planned preventative maintenance, spares build-up)
 
* Diagnose causes of equipment failure and identify root causes, communicating findings to relevant personnel
 
* Work efficiently and expediently in all duties
 
* Share relevant information with lead technicians, colleagues, and other personnel
 
* Hand over incomplete work at the end of shifts
Person Specification
Essential

* Minimum qualification:

Time-served, Full Apprenticeship in Maintenance/Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
 
* Experience in:
     
* Electrical fault finding
     
* Installation and fault-finding of AC/DC motors
     
* Single and three-phase supplies
 
* Ability to:
     
* Manage time and information effectively, prioritising tasks
     
* Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
     
* Work independently as well as within a team
