Permanent Mayfield Recruitment are currently looking for a Electrician on a permanent basis. The position for the Electrician will need to ensure the delivery of high-quality work into Residential Care Homes from Bishop Auckland to Morpeth. The Electrician will be responsible for:
Carrying out statutory electrical safety testing, inspections, and remedial works, signing off in line with current regulations. Responding promptly to electrical maintenance requests from care home managers, prioritising urgent safety-related issues. Undertaking routine electrical repairs, installations, and fault finding. Supporting external contractors when on site and ensuring works meet compliance standards. Maintaining tools, equipment, and documentation, ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation.

Travelling regularly across the assigned region with flexibility to support different care homes as needed The Electrician will need:
Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, AM2, or equivalent). Current registration and ability to sign off electrical works Proven experience in electrical safety testing, installation, and maintenance. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with care home staff and residents. Strong problem-solving, organisational, and time-management skills. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within the region.
