Northampton Install Engineer

Position: Northampton Based Install Engineer
Installation and commissioning of CCTV systems, including IP and analogue. nstallation, configuration, and testing of Access Control systems. Installation and commissioning of Intruder Alarm systems.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Security Installation Engineer to join our growing team based in Northampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and handover of electronic security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. Key Responsibilities:

Installation and commissioning of CCTV systems, including IP and analogue solutions. Installation, configuration, and testing of Access Control systems. Installation and commissioning of Intruder Alarm systems. Reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and system designs. Running and terminating cables to a professional standard. Testing systems and ensuring all installations meet industry standards and customer requirements. Providing system demonstrations and user training to clients upon completion.

Completing installation documentation and reports accurately. Diagnosing and resolving installation issues on site. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment. Liaising professionally with customers, site managers, and colleagues. Candidate Requirements:

Essential:
Proven experience installing CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems. Good understanding of IP networking and security system integration. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Full UK driving licence. Good knowledge of health and safety practices. Desirable:

Experience with leading security manufacturers such as Hikvision, Dahua, Paxton, Texecom, Galaxy, or similar systems. ECS/CSCS card. IPAF or PASMA certification. Knowledge of current British Standards relating to electronic security systems. Experience working on commercial and industrial projects.
