Permanent (Temp to permanent opportunity)

Gateshead, England, North East

£18.00 – £25.00 per hour (PAYE only), depending on experience.

Monday to Friday working pattern, start time 07:00–07:30.

• Ongoing training and development
• Varied work across commercial and industrial sites

• Conduct fire damper inspections and drop testing
• Identify defective or non‑compliant dampers
• Complete detailed compliance reports and documentation
• Carry out remedial works, including repairs and replacement of components
• Replace fire dampers where required
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Liaise professionally with clients and site teams

• Previous experience working with fire dampers and HVAC systems
• Experience carrying out fire damper inspections and drop testing
• Good understanding of fire safety regulations and compliance requirements
• Ability to complete accurate reports and documentation
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
• CSCS Card preferred
• Relevant fire damper inspection/testing qualifications desirable
• PASMA and IPAF advantageous

• Willingness to travel to sites across the UK
• Flexibility to work away from home on occasion
• Occasional out‑of‑hours or weekend work may be required to meet client requirements
