- Supervise day-to-day kitchen operations to ensure high-quality food preparation and service.
- Develop and implement nutritious, cost-effective menus in collaboration with dietitians and nutritionists.
- Manage kitchen staff, providing training, support, and performance evaluations to foster a positive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations across all kitchen activities.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain kitchen efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of patients.
- Maintain accurate food production records and assist in budget management for the culinary department.
- Minimum two (2) years of institutional food service management experience preferred, including knowledge of food production, therapeutic diets, sanitation, and supervision.
- A graduate of the Dietary Manager's Association, whether conducted by correspondence or in a classroom; or a person who has completed a state-agency approved 90 hour course in food service supervision is preferred.
- Must be certified as a Food Protection Manager from the Texas Department of Health.
- Must be able to work flexible schedule depending on the needs of Coryell Health.
