Position: Contract Licensed Vocational Nurse

Job Description

Contract (36 hrs/week).

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team in Gatesville, TX. As a full-time LVN, you will provide compassionate and quality care to our patients in a variety of settings, including Medical-Surgical and Long-Term Acute Care. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in both areas and hold valid licenses and certifications, including an LVN license, IV Therapy certification, and AHA BLS.

Required

Skills and Experience
  • Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program and current license/permit as a vocational nurse in the State of Texas
  • 1+ year of Med/Surg or LTAC experience
  • Current AHA BLS required
  • LVN's must be IV Therapy Certified
Schedule
  • Full Time 2 Day LVN positions and 2 Night LVN positions open
  • 4:3 rotating schedule
Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Educate patients and their families on proper self-care techniques and disease management
  • Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records
  • Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • Active LVN license in the state of Texas
  • IV Therapy certification
  • AHA BLS certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical and Long-Term Acute Care settings
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
