Brief Description

Rehab Living at The Meadows is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and oversight during weekend operations. The RN Supervisor is responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality resident care while supporting and supervising nursing staff throughout the assigned shift. This position serves as a key resource for residents, families, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.

The ideal candidate is an experienced RN who demonstrates strong leadership, sound clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to providing compassionate care.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during weekend shifts to ensure appropriate staffing and quality resident care.
  • Assign and delegate nursing duties based on resident needs, census, and staff availability.
  • Provide clinical guidance, support, and leadership to RNs, LVNs/LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing personnel.
  • Assess residents and monitor changes in condition, taking appropriate action and notifying physicians or other healthcare providers as needed.
  • Ensure medications, treatments, and physician orders are administered appropriately and documented accurately.
  • Monitor compliance with individualized care plans and nursing standards.
  • Review nursing documentation, assessments, progress notes, and other required records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, changes in resident condition, falls, incidents, and other clinical concerns.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, therapy staff, administration, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and other resident transitions as needed.
  • Ensure appropriate infection prevention, safety, and quality-of-care practices are followed.
  • Address staffing concerns and coordinate coverage for unexpected absences or changes in resident needs.
  • Investigate and document incidents, complaints, and significant changes in resident condition according to facility policy.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to nursing staff and assist with staff orientation and education.
  • Promote resident rights, dignity, privacy, and respect at all times.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, facility policies, and professional nursing standards.
  • Serve as a dependable clinical resource for the weekend nursing team.
  • Perform direct resident care as needed to support the nursing team.
  • Communicate significant clinical, staffing, or operational concerns to the Director of Nursing or appropriate leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
  • Previous nursing experience required; experience in rehabilitation, skilled nursing, long-term care, or senior living preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and nursing documentation.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
