You’ll be responsible for setting strategy, for leading your team to deliver results consistently and sustainably, for growing and developing talented engineers, and for cultivating a healthy, results‑driven culture on your team.

You’ll leverage your past experience and play a crucial role in laying the groundwork for a successful engineering organization, contributing to developing foundational processes that enable our entire team to scale — onboarding, interview loops, career frameworks, execution frameworks, and more.

• Drive significant impact for our customers and business by leading teams to deliver results consistently and sustainably.
• Build a best‑in‑class engineering team. Coach, mentor and create an environment where your team can do their best work and deliver for the business.
• Set direction and guide technical strategy, ensuring that your team is delivering long‑term value aligned with Vanta’s business priorities.
• Work closely with Vanta’s customers and customer‑facing teammates to build and ship high‑value products and infrastructure.
• Play an integral role in laying the foundation for Vanta’s engineering culture.

• Have 5 or more years of professional experience in a full‑time engineering manager role for product engineering teams.
• Experience leading team sizes of 15‑20+ with managers or leads reporting into you.
• Strong decision‑maker who effectively balances ambiguity, available data, speed, and quality.
• Have participated in developing or driving engineering‑wide initiatives (recruiting processes, career frameworks, etc.) in a prior role.
• Have prior experience managing complex, long‑term projects that touch multiple teams and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Effective communicator and storyteller. Able to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and adjacent teams.
