• Inspect the overall condition of trucks to identify worn, defective, or damaged parts
• Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance, including on engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
• Perform mechanical overhauls, repairs, and engine rebuilds
• Perform mechanical inspections and checks to prevent breakdowns and ensure vehicle reliability
• Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure the proper functioning of trucks
• Verify the proper functioning and performance of trucks by conducting road tests when required
• Accurately complete diagnostic, maintenance, and repair reports
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment that meets health and safety standards
• Perform any other related tasks as assigned by their immediate supervisor

• Must hold a DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) as a heavy truck technician or equivalent
• Must have relevant work experience
• Must be able to provide their own tool kit
• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Willingness to learn
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to use Cummins Insight and perform required diagnostics (an asset)
• Welding experience (an asset)
