Job DescriptionTYPICAL DUTIES:
- Provide individual and small group instruction to students in all instructional areas.
- Provide instructional leadership in the teacher's absence.
- Assist in the planning of instruction for the program.
- Provide students with assessments and feedback daily as part of the instructional programs.
- Function as a team member for the WEMOCO teaching staff.
- Minimum two (2) years' experience/training in Carpentry, Heavy Equipment Operation Maintenance, Outdoor Powersports, Welding or Criminal Justice.
- Must possess or meet requirements for Civil Service title of Student Behavioral Assistant, Teacher Aide, or School Aide.
- School Aide - No education or experience qualifications.
- Teacher Aide - Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma.
- Student Behavioral Assistant - Two (2) years of full-time paid or part-time equivalent experience involving the supervision, counseling or instruction of children in a school facility, institution or agency devoted to the care, education, rehabilitation or detention of children OR Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university with an Associate's degree or completion of 60 credit hours.
