The Data Analyst supports data-driven decision-making across technology, operations, and member services. This role is responsible for analyzing enterprise data, ensuring data integrity, developing reports and dashboards, and supporting regulatory, operational, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience in financial or regulated environments, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that enhance member experience and operational efficiency.
MajorDuties and Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from core banking systems, IT systems, and ancillary applications.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs related to IT performance, cybersecurity, operations, and member services
- Support data needs for regulatory reporting, audits, and compliance requirements (e.g., NCUA, FFIEC)
- Monitor data quality, accuracy, and consistency across systems
- Collaborate with IT, Operations, Risk, Finance, and business units to understand data requirements
- Analyze trends related to system performance, member usage, fraud prevention, and service delivery
- Assist in data governance initiatives, documentation, and standardization efforts
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and data support for technology projects and leadership requests
- Ensure data handling aligns with security, privacy, and confidentiality standards
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role (financial institution experience preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with complex datasets in regulated environments
- Proficiency in SQL
- Strong experience with Excel
- Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar)
- Familiarity with databases, data warehouses, and ETL processes, including experience setting up data warehouse environments
- Experience with core banking systems or financial data platforms (preferred)
- Working knowledge of Python or R is a plus
- Understanding of data security, access controls, and compliance requirements
- Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
- Commitment to confidentiality and ethical data usage
- Experience in a credit union or financial services environment
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance reporting
- Experience supporting IT, cybersecurity, or risk analytics
- Familiarity with cloud platforms or modern data architectures
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand, sit, bend or move in order to perform all job functions with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. and up to 40 lbs. daily in order to perform job print functions. This includes standing on a hard surface for the majority of an eight (8) hour shift. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation.
Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.
