We are seeking a skilled and reliable Contract Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our Task Force team in Gautier, MS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our apartment community.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on apartment units and common areas, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations to minimize downtime and inconvenience to residents.
- Inspect apartments and common areas to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with property management and contractors as needed to complete larger repair or renovation projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies, safety regulations, and local codes.
- Assist with move-in/move-out inspections and prepare units for new residents.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in apartment or residential settings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repair skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and effectively.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and on-call shifts as needed.
This is a contract position as part of a specialized maintenance task force, providing support across multiple apartment communities in the Gautier, MS area. The role requires adaptability, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of property upkeep.
