Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Valley Animal Hospital is seeking passionate and dependable individuals who are interested in client and patient services to add to our growing practice. The primary job for a Client Service Representative is to exceed client expectations for outstanding client service while maintaining hospital standards and providing positive patient advocacy.

Responsibilities

Our CSR's daily duties include answering phone calls, scheduling appointments for a variety of services, maintaining accurate client and patient information, collecting payments, performing emergency patient triage, ensuring lobby upkeep, and addressing client questions or concerns.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundational understanding of basic responsibilities including multi-tasking, payment handling, telephone and client communication skills, veterinary knowledge, and computer skills (knowledge of Avimark is a plus).
  • Minimum of 1 year related experience required.
Hours of Operation
  • Mon – Fri (7:00 am – 6:00 pm)
  • Saturday (8:00 am – 1:00 pm)
  • Closed Sundays

Salary

The base hourly range for this position is $15–$17. Salary will be determined by role, level, location and other factors such as skills, experience and education.

Additional Information

Provides excellent and expeditious client experience: greets clients, responds to questions, processes incoming and outgoing patients, and handles payments. Answers phone calls, screens for service needs, and schedules appointments. Handles incoming and outgoing mail and e‑mail. Monitors client waiting area for cleanliness. Documents and maintains client information and service data within practice management software. Escalates complex matters to senior staff.
