Librarian, Outreach Non-Exempt

Do you enjoy serving the community through meaningful and caring interactions with those who may be unable to come to the library? Are you passionate about making the library accessible and welcoming to all, regardless of age or ability? We’re seeking a proactive, dynamic, collaborative team player to join our Outreach team to champion library services and provide support to patrons who face barriers in navigating library services.

Successful candidates will be outgoing self-starters who enjoy delivering service at the level of WOW!

• Develop effective partnerships with community organizations, particularly those serving older adults, individuals with disabilities, and other under‑served populations.
• Promote library programs and resources directly at points of need within the community, including senior living facilities, assisted care homes, adult day programs, and more.
• Select, schedule and deliver library materials to outreach facilities and residents unable to visit the library.
• Oversee and support adult volunteers and students with disabilities participating in job skills training programs.
• Assist customers at busy public service points within the library with reference, reader’s advisory and electronic resources.

• Master’s Degree, MLIS preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience will be considered.
• 1 year library experience, required.
• 2 years of related public library experience working with the public, preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A valid driver’s license with good standing driving records and ability to travel to different local locations.
