Applicant must be highly qualified. This includes one of the following:
- Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college/university
- 48 semester hours from an accredited college/university
- Pass the Para Pro Assessment
Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by the JSD Special Education Department. Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment. Additional training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 4 upon completion.
Job DescriptionEffective July 1, 2026. Salary:
Lane 3 Step 1 ($19.94/hour).
