Librarian, Collection Management​/Non-Exempt

We're seeking a proactive, dynamic, collaborative team player to join our Access Services team to assume collection management duties through the selection, organization, and weeding of materials. Successful candidates will have strong independent judgement, excellent communication, and analytical skills, and above all a commitment to delivering service at the level of WOW!
Primary

Duties Include:

• Selects a variety of new and replacement library materials (physical or electronic) for areas of assignment according to collection development theories and practices.
• Manage collection budgets, purchasing, expenditures, and usage data to ensure resources align with library priorities and user needs.
• Work with publishers, vendors, consortia, and subscription providers to acquire resources and resolve issues.
• Stays informed on current and emerging publishing and collection trends to enhance offerings and customer experience.
• Assist customers at busy public service points within the library with reference, reader's advisory, and electronic resources.
• Plan and set-up themed displays throughout the year, keeping displays full, fresh, and visually appealing.

Qualifications include:

• 1 year library experience required
• Knowledge of selection and cataloging tools
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
