SummaryThe Senior Tax Associate is responsible for preparing and reviewing simple and complex tax returns, conducting tax research, and providing strategic tax planning and advisory services. This role requires a deep understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as the ability to interpret and apply tax laws to various client situations.
The Senior Tax Associate will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure compliance, optimize tax positions, and support business decision making. Additionally, this position involves mentoring junior staff and assisting in managing client engagements.
Required: Strong entity tax experience, including S Corporations 1120S, Partnerships 1065, and Individual 1040 returns.
This is a seat for someone who brings both technical depth and professional maturity.
Tax Planning and ComplianceYou will:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize tax positions and strategies
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns, including corporate, state, local, and international taxes
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance across jurisdictions
- Assist with tax audits, including preparing responses to tax authority inquiries and resolving disputes
You will:
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and develop strategies for minimizing tax liabilities
- Advise clients on tax implications of business transactions, restructurings, and financial decisions
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and inform clients and team members of potential impacts
You will:
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, managing relationships and addressing tax related concerns
- Work collaboratively with clients to develop tax planning strategies tailored to their needs
- Provide recommendations to improve tax efficiency and compliance Team Leadership

- Supervise and mentor tax professionals, providing guidance and feedback
- Review work prepared by junior staff for accuracy and completeness
- Assist in training team members on tax regulations, compliance requirements, and software tools
You will:
- Work with wealth management and other departments to support business initiatives and transactions
- Provide tax insights during mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic projects
The Employee shall perform such other duties as are customarily performed by other persons in similar positions, including other duties as may arise from time to time and as may be assigned.
