We are seeking dedicated Caregivers to join our diverse team in Geneva and be a part of our life-changing mission. We are hiring immediately and offer paid training!We have flexible full-time, part-time and on-call shifts available with a starting base rate of $18/hr (plus additional differential of $2 for PMs and $1 for weekends for AMs and nights). The hourly rate for IHR/On-Call positions is $21.00 (plus additional differential of $1 for weekends). We provide free DSP training.
CNAs and DSPs are encouraged to apply.Certified CNAs start at a base rate of $20/hr and DSPs can start at up to $19.50/hr based on years of experience as a certified DSP.

Who We AreMarklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With two residential locations - the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autism spectrum.
In addition, our Community Day Services program at each site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.
- Assist with day program activities which include helping ensure the residents have the opportunity to achieve their goals for the day
- Groom residents by brushing their hair, teeth and shaving
- Assist residents with bathing, incontinence and dressing
- Feed residents and document their food and liquid intake
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for our residents
- Assist residents with mobility needs, transferring them from wheelchair to bed
- Communicate with the healthcare team
