The Kane County Cougars are hiring a dependable, enthusiastic, and service-driven Picnic Supervisors to lead our group picnic hospitality operations. This position oversees all aspects of the picnic area service on game days, including setup, staff supervision, food and beverage delivery, and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will ensure a seamless, fun, and memorable group dining experience for fans attending picnics and catered events at the ballpark.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Supervise the setup, execution, and breakdown of all picnic events during Cougars home games.
- Lead and support a team of picnic attendants and runners to provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure food is delivered from the kitchen to picnic areas on time and in accordance with quality standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen, concessions, and management teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the picnic area throughout the event.
- Keep inventory of picnic supplies and equipment, and report needs to management.
- Train new staff on service expectations, safety guidelines, and food handling procedures.
- Enforce all health, safety, and alcohol service policies and procedures.
- Complete post-event reports as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous experience in food and beverage or event hospitality preferred.
- Supervisory or team lead experience is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service focus and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bending, reaching, and lifting; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays throughout the Cougars baseball season.
