The Machine Operator is responsible for completing a variety of maintenance, development and operations tasks to promote efficient production.

- Monitor and maintain warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Understand all quality specifications associated with the machinery and operate in compliance with those standards.
- Operate machinery or equipment at speeds sufficient to accomplish production efficiency goals set by the supervisor.
- Recognize when equipment is malfunctioning or operating at substandard speeds and immediately inform the supervisor.
- Ensure that all raw materials required to operate the machinery or equipment are of the specified part number prior to installation.
- Perform basic maintenance on assigned machinery or equipment.
- Assist in cleanup and/or setup of the line by stocking, reworking, troubleshooting, and any other duties required to keep line functioning.
- Follow all company policies including general manufacturing and safety practices.
- Report food safety and quality problems in a timely manner to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Perform any other duties as instructed by management.
- Minimum qualifications:
(list of required knowledge, skill, and ability). - Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions.
- Adopt physical capabilities: stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, sit frequently.
- Have appropriate eye, hand, and foot coordination for proper execution.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Identify different written forms, box labels, bottle codes.
- Operate computer equipment for line operation.
The work involves risks and discomforts such as working around moving parts and equipment, requiring safety precautions and protective equipment. Possible exposures include hazardous materials, moving mechanical parts, noise requiring hearing protection, temperature and humidity swings, fumes from forklifts, oil and grease, moisture, odors, dust from corrugated boxes and wood fiber, non‑toxic glue, and allergens from food products. Personal protective equipment must be worn as required.
Compliance with OSHA regulations or MSDS standards is required.
