Job DescriptionA Sanitation Technician follows procedures and standard operating procedures to perform cleaning on production equipment to ensure safety and hygiene. The technician may record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues and advises or updates the supervisor or manager of progress and other non-routine issues.

Shift: Monday
- Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM - 2nd
Shift: Monday
- Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM + $1.00 shift differential - 3rd
Shift: Monday
- Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM + $1.50 shift differential - Must be open to work weekends.
- Follow established procedures in the cleaning and sanitation of idle production equipment.
- Perform wet washes of rooms and production lines.
- Complete required reporting to reflect activity.
- Advise supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Physical Demands- Must be capable of being productive on 2nd‑shift scheduling; regularly required to stand.
- Occasionally required to sit, walk, stoop, or crouch; some facilities are multi‑level and may require ascending or descending stairs.
- May occasionally move up to 45–50 pounds with a hoist, pallet‑jack, or cart, and regularly lift up to 15 pounds.
- Will be trained and certified to use a scissor lift to perform cleaning tasks at heights of up to 20 feet above the plant floor.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Able to communicate and take direction from the Sanitation Group Lead and/or the Sanitation Supervisor.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.
- Multi‑shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid, and vary in temperature from refrigerated environment, ambient, or warm in summer months depending on facility.

Starting Pay:
Sanitation Technician Level I $17.10 /hr;
Level II $18.10 /hr. A shift differential is offered for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job‑related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full‑time employees—including health, dental, 401(k), and wellness benefits—beginning on the 90th day of employment.
