Order Management Specialist

Looking to get your foot in the door with a well-established manufacturing organization? We're hiring an Order Management Specialist for a temporary assignment through February in Geneva, IL. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, and cross-functional coordination. In this role, you'll help keep production moving by coordinating schedules, managing customer order priorities, and working closely with Operations, Customer Care, Purchasing, and Quality.

What you'll be doing:

• Create and schedule production batches
• Coordinate expedite and delay requests based on customer needs
• Communicate production schedules and changes across teams
• Work with Purchasing to expedite or delay raw materials
• Expedite orders through the system when possible
• Cut and size batches based on order and inventory needs
• Export and format basic reports from an ERP system
• Help identify and resolve day-to-day production issues
• Support cross-functional problem-solving in a collaborative environment

What we're looking for:

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Comfortable working with numbers, basic arithmetic, and ratios
• Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• ERP experience is a plus, but not required
