Job Description
Young Life seeks a dedicated volunteer leader who is committed to fulfilling Christian ministry responsibilities. The role requires a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and adherence to the Young Life Statement of Faith.
Faith and Eligibility- Profess a belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord.
- Subscribe to the Young Life Statement of Faith and all related policies.
- Willingness to participate fully in ministry functions and uphold biblical standards during working and non‑working hours.
- Spiritual Development
- Develop yearly personal growth plans focused on prayer, solitude, reflection, and study of Scripture.
- Maintain relationships and disciplines within a church community context.
- Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development activities.
- Leadership Development
- Recruit and train volunteer leaders to build a diverse leadership team.
- Provide supervision, training, and vision casting to volunteer and staff members.
- Model excellence in contact work, clubs, and campaigns.
- Participate in area leadership meetings as required.
- Resource Development
- Plan and execute events, donor care, public relations, and fundraising initiatives.
- Maintain donor relationships and report ministry progress to partners.
- Assist with camp fundraisers and attend committee or adult functions.
- Direct Ministry
- Actively engage in contact work at all levels (contact, club, campaigns).️
- Lead a Young Life club and conduct discipleship ministry with excellence.
- Implement summer and school‑season camping strategies.
- May serve on summer staff or assigned property under area director guidance.
- Ministry Support
- Handle accounting, administration, communication, and data management.
- Adhere to all policies regarding office hours, dress, conduct, and time management.
- Set and review yearly ministry and personal goals.
- Complete expense reports promptly.
- Perform other duties consistent with mission, gifts, and area needs.
- Regional and Area Training
- Attend regional training events as required by the director.
- Complete individualized training under the supervision of an area director or mentor.
- Focus on personal spiritual maturity, character development, and ministry skill competency.
- Familiarize with area strategy, ministry health, and fundraising principles.
- Participate in discipleship experiences such as summer staff and adventure camping.
- Proven relational skills with both children and adults.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Currently pursuing a college degree.
Annual salary: $20,400.00 to $24,250.00.
