The salary range for this position is $48.00 – $55.00 (Hourly Rate). Placement within the salary range depends on factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement follows the collective bargaining agreement.
The minimum commitment of hours for this position is four 12-hour shifts (7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) within a six‑week scheduling period.
Registered Nurse Inpatient
: A clinically competent, registered professional nurse who prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care to acutely ill patients through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and team members while maintaining ANA standards of professional nursing practice.
- Collects and analyzes data, identifies expected outcomes, develops and implements individualized plans, coordinates care delivery, and evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes.
- Directs care and determines appropriate utilization of any assistants involved in providing direct patient care.
- Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff; creates a documented plan focused on outcomes and decisions related to care delivery, indicating communications with all parties.
- Participates in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
- Evaluates and documents patient responses to nursing interventions in the health record and individualizes the plan of care based on findings.
- Utilizes best available evidence, including research findings, to guide practice decisions.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Strong analytic abilities
- Experience in acute inpatient nursing
