Registered Nurse Inpatient-Delnor Neurology Med Surg Unit Full Time Nights

Salary Range: $34.50 – $55.20 per hour.

Schedule:

Three 12‑hour shifts (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.) with every third weekend (Friday and Saturday nights) and rotating holidays required.

This full‑time inpatient registered nurse position is part of the Neurology Med Surg unit and requires a clinically competent, registered professional nurse who can prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for acutely ill patients. The RN will use the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, implement, and evaluate care, work collaboratively with patients, families, physicians, and ancillary staff, and maintain American Nurses Association (ANA) standards of professional nursing practice.

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies expected outcomes, develops and implements an individualized plan, coordinates care delivery, and evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Directs care and determines the appropriate utilization of any assistant involved in providing direct patient care.
• Collaborates with patient, family, physicians, and ancillary staff to create a documented care plan focused on outcomes.
• Participates in shared governance, committee work, and unit projects.
• Evaluates and documents the patient’s responses to nursing interventions in the health record and appropriately individualizes the care plan based on the evaluation of findings.
• Utilizes the best of available evidence, including research findings, to guide practice decisions.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with others.
• Strong analytic abilities.

• Experience in acute care nursing.
