Quality Control Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Technician to ensure the quality of in-process and finished products for powder coatings. The role involves running various tests, including spray panels, gloss checks, and color testing, as well as conducting root cause analysis and making recommendations for product corrections. You will confirm product quality for final release and have the authority to halt production when nonconformance is detected.

All test results will be entered into the SAP system.

Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control tests for in-process and finished products.
  • Conduct spray panel tests, gloss checks, and color tests.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrections for out-of-spec products.
  • Confirm the quality of finished products for final release.
  • Exercise stop authority when nonconformance is detected.
  • Enter test results into the SAP system.
Essential Skills
  • 1 year of previous quality control experience.
  • Experience in paints, coatings, inks, or similar industries is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to make decisions and take ownership of quality control processes.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience in powder coating with a background in quality testing is nice to have.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience from the food or pharmaceutical industry is considered.
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
Work Environment

The position is based in the Quality Control office, with frequent visits to the production area to collect samples. The role operates on a 12-hour rotating shift (6:00 am – 6:00 pm) with a training period on the first shift (6:00 am – 2:30 pm) lasting 4-12 weeks. A casual dress code is observed, with a lab coat provided. The work environment requires comfort in a powder environment, and proficiency in English is necessary.

An onsite interview is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.64 - $24.64/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
