Job Description

The Quality Control Technician will ensure the quality of in-process and finished products, specifically focusing on coatings. The role involves running various tests, such as spray panels, gloss checks, and color tests, to maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct quality control tests, including spray panels and gloss checks.

+ Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for any out-of-spec products.

+ Confirm the quality of finished products before final release.

+ Exercise stop authority when nonconformance is detected.

+ Enter test results into the SAP system.

Essential Skills

+ 1 year of previous QC experience.

+ Experience in paints, coatings, inks is preferred; QC experience from food or pharma is also considered.

+ Proficiency in quality control and root cause analysis.

+ Strong decision-making skills and accountability.

+ Proficiency in MS Office.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree is nice to have.

+

Experience with SAP is a plus.

+ Understanding of coating processes.

+ HS diploma or equivalent.

The position involves a 12-hour rotating shift from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Training will occur on the first shift (6:00 am - 2:30 pm) for 4-12 weeks, depending on progress. A casual dress code is maintained, and a lab coat is provided. The candidate must be comfortable working in a powder environment and must understand, speak, and write English. An onsite interview is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Geneva, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.64 - $24.64/hr.
