Quality Technician – 2nd Shift
Pay: $19.00–$21.00 per hour Shift: Monday–Friday | 2:45 PM – 11:05 PM
Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. In this role, you will help ensure products meet quality, food safety, and customer standards by performing inspections, laboratory testing, production audits, and documentation throughout the manufacturing process.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with quality assurance, quality control, laboratory, or food manufacturing experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities- Perform quality inspections and line audits throughout the production process.
- Approve or reject production batches based on established quality standards.
- Conduct laboratory testing using standard quality control procedures and testing equipment.
- Perform pre-operational inspections and preventive control (PC) checks.
- Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure customer specifications are met.
- Perform special inspections on raw materials or products placed on hold.
- Identify quality or food safety concerns and promptly communicate issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Complete quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coach production team members on proper quality data collection procedures.
- Follow all food safety, quality, GMP, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Previous quality assurance, quality control, laboratory, manufacturing, or food production experience preferred.
- Basic laboratory and testing skills.
- Basic math skills and ability to use formulas.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to read, write, and follow written procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to successfully complete required company testing.
- Stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Frequently bend, stoop, crouch, reach, stretch, and climb as needed.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Maintain hand-eye coordination while operating testing equipment and tools.
- Competitive pay: $19.00–$21.00 per hour
