Fox Fire Restaurant & Steakhouse – Geneva, Illinois
Fox Fire Restaurant & Steakhouse is looking for dependable, personable, team-oriented Bartenders to join our front-of-house team.
Fox Fire is a chef-driven steakhouse with a large wine program and a strong craft cocktail and beverage program. Our bartenders are expected to provide warm, professional hospitality while preparing drinks consistently, accurately, and efficiently.
Experience is a plus, but it is not required
. We are willing to train motivated candidates who have the right personality, work ethic, and desire to learn.

We are looking for bartenders who:

• Are comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Have basic math and money-handling skills
• Are willing to learn our cocktail, wine, beer, and food programs

• Can follow recipes and standardized measurements consistently

Bartenders are responsible for:

• Preparing cocktails, wine, beer, and other beverages according to Fox Fire standards
• Using jiggers and proper measurements for all cocktails and mixed drinks
• Learning and maintaining knowledge of Fox Fire’s cocktail program
• Developing working knowledge of our extensive wine list
• Making wine, cocktail, and beverage recommendations to guests
• Providing knowledgeable and friendly bar service
• Handling cash, credit cards, checks, and guest payments accurately
• Maintaining an organized and properly stocked bar throughout the shift
• Completing opening, closing, stocking, and cleaning duties
• Restocking liquor, wine, beer, glassware, mixers, garnishes, and supplies
• Maintaining clean bar tops, wells, coolers, equipment, shelving, and service areas
• Following responsible alcohol-service procedures
• Working closely with servers, bussers, hosts, managers, and kitchen staff
• Helping fellow team members whenever needed

Bartenders must be able to:

• Stand and work for approximately 6 hours or more
• Lift and carry up to 30 pounds
• Bend, reach, carry, stock, and clean throughout the shift
• Work efficiently in a busy restaurant and bar environment

Fox Fire is open Monday through Sunday

Typical bartender shifts include:
Monday–Thursday:
Approximately 3:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Friday & Saturday:
Approximately 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
or
5:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Sunday:
Approximately 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Weekend availability is important, particularly Friday and Saturday evenings.

No bartending experience is required — we will train the right person.
Previous restaurant, bartending, serving, wine, or hospitality experience is a plus.
