The salary range for this position is $25.24 - $36.59 (Hourly Rate)

Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Description

The Security Supervisor I reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Under the direction of Security Services leadership, this position is responsible for supervising the daily operations of a specifically assigned Security Department duty shift at a particular site.

Day shift , Thursday-Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off

Responsibilities:

* Communicates regularly with other shift leadership regarding security needs

* Disseminates pertinent information to assigned subordinate Security team members

* Assists in identifying opportunities and taking immediate action (if applicable) for improvement regarding safety and security issues on their shift

* Assists the Security Services leadership in performing general safety and security monitoring, providing recommendations to ensure compliance with NM policies as needed

* Provides operational oversight of campus specific Video Management and Access Control systems

* Maintains personal knowledge of/with industry standards/requirements and technology trends in healthcare safety and security.

* Completes required operational shift records, reports and pass downs

* Collaborates with various support services teams to maintain a safe environment in NM facilities during their assigned shift.

* Builds and maintains team cohesiveness on their shift.

* Prioritizes the deployment and utilization of security resources to support the patient's first mission and provide a safe environment for staff.

* Provides an effective leadership role in any investigations of fire, theft, criminal activity and accidents on NM property as needed.

* Cultivates an environment of support and learning for new security team members by assisting with orientation, internal training, providing constructive feedback, IAHSS testing, and annual mandatory education and competencies.

* Acts as a Security Services department reference for shift associates
