Job Description
ICU Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

Schedule:

7a-7p / 7p-7a - 3x12s, variable shifts scheduled as needed by client, every other weekend, holiday

Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Requirements:
- License:
Currently licensed by NYS as a registered professional nurse

- Certifications:

- BLS, ACLS, PALS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation
- Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire
- CPI certification within 90 days of hire
- Preferred

Certifications:

- Certification by the Emergency Nurses Association is recommended within 2 years of hire
- TNCC recommended within 2 years of hire

- Skills:

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Computer literacy is preferred; experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records

Roles & Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Monitor patient vital signs and adjust care plans based on clinical assessments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulations
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation includes completion of ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the RQI system
- Must adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards in patient care
