Experience:
Minimum 1-year experience in Med Surg, Tele, or Critical Care Units
License:
Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS required through the American Heart Association or the RQI system during clinical orientation
NIHSS certification
Must-Have:
Must be comfortable floating to various units including ICU, ER, Med Surg, and MST
Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification required
Description:
RN Days position with weekend and holiday rotations required.
Two on-call shifts are required per four weeks.
Candidates must be cross-trained for multiple units.
Basic Coronary Care certification is required within six months of hire.
Crisis Prevention Intervention certification is required within ninety days of hire.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion is essential.
Ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner is needed.
Must be able to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Enhancing teamwork through effective role modeling is expected.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are required.
Computer literacy is preferred, especially with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records.
Demonstrates behaviors consistent with principles of a healing environment by being professional and communicating effectively.
Knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan is critical.
Ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the necessary information for care is required.
Care must be provided appropriately for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient groups.
