- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930–$2,080/week
- Shifts:
- Option 1:
Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri (9:00am–5:30pm) + every other Sat (8:00am–4:30pm) - Option 2: 2x12-hr shifts (7:00am–7:30pm) Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri, Wed (9:00am–5:30pm), + every other Sat (8:00am–4:30pm)
- Option 1:
- Hours per Week: 36
- Setting: Hospital (Acute Care) — diagnostic imaging / magnetic resonance imaging
- Minimum 1 year of experience in diagnostic radiology; MRI-specific experience preferred (MRI technologist / MRI tech)
- Completion of an AMA-approved 2-year Radiologic Technology program (A.A.S. degree required)
- Active New York State license as a radiologic, nuclear medicine, or ultrasound technologist
- Certification as a radiologic, nuclear medicine, or ultrasound technologist (ARRT registration or equivalent preferred)
- BLS certification (AHA or RQI)
- Formal MRI-specific training preferred; maintains required continuing education (CEC-12 per year in Radiologic Technology)
- Perform technical MRI assignments and diagnostic MRI studies, ensuring high image quality for clinical interpretation
- Operate MRI scanners, coils, and related devices safely and accurately (magnetic resonance imaging equipment)
- Evaluate image quality, verify proper MRI positioning, and select appropriate coils and protocols
- Demonstrate competency in RIS and PACS for patient data entry, image processing, and troubleshooting
- Follow magnet safety and screening protocols to protect patients, staff, and equipment
- Administer MRI contrast media per facility policy and respond appropriately to reactions and emergencies
- Adhere to infection control procedures and universal precautions
- Provide patient-centered care across the lifespan: infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
