General Mechanic

Seneca Foods in Geneva, NY is currently seeking a Second Shift Mechanic to join our team.

PLEASE NOTE:

The work schedule will be "alphabet" consisting of 12-hour work shifts varying days throughout the week. Initial training will possibly consist of a "traditional" work schedule (Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts). Responsible for proper maintenance of production equipment that include repairs, overhauling and daily maintenance.

Responsibilities:

* Daily maintenance of production line equipment.

* Overhaul, repair, and maintain pumps, gear boxes, conveyors and electrical motors.

* Troubleshoot and repair machinery as needed.

* Maintain repair logs.

* Maintain proper housekeeping.

* Other duties as assigned.     

Qualifications:

* Ability to weld.

* Capable of making quick decisions.

* Good communication skills.

* Ability to use hand and power tools.

Wage range based on skills, abilites and experience from $25-$35.50/hour
