Job Description:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing essential support to residents by meeting their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) needs, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment, and promoting their well-being. The role includes collaborating with nursing staff to document care according to health protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting needs according to the plan of care.
- Maintain a safe resident environment, including responding promptly to call lights and alarms.
- Ensure nutritional needs are met as outlined in the care plan, including meal delivery and feeding assistance.
- Support residents' rehabilitative needs through appropriate mobility and positioning activities.
- Report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- NYS Nursing Assistant Certification (BLS through AHA or RQI only)
- One (1) year of previous Long-Term Care (LTC) experience
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
