As a Trade Operations Specialist
, you will be responsible for executing and overseeing the full lifecycle of dry bulk commodity contracts. You will ensure smooth and compliant execution of purchase and sales agreements, coordinating closely with internal and external stakeholders across multiple regions.
You will work in close collaboration with trading, logistics, finance, and quality teams, ensuring that all operational processes are executed efficiently and in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities- New vessel identification and allocation to offices in charge
- Follow-up of contractual declarations and extensions – shipment/delivery extensions/port declarations
- Supervise nominations, chartering advice, and execution from the end-to-end lifecycle of dry bulk (seeds and grains) contracts
- Coordinate cargo movements, stock management, and transfer processes
- Follow-up with execution offices in charge to ensure timely and accurate preparation and verification of all trade documentation
- Liaise with shared service teams and external partners (e.g. surveyors, insurers) as needed
- Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with FOSFA and internal requirements
- Review, validate, and approve invoices, costs, and insurance documentation
- Perform cost analysis and reporting on executed trades
- Maintain strong communication with international stakeholders across Europe, Asia, and MENA
- Minimum of 7 years of direct experience in trade execution within dry bulk commodities (seeds and/or grains)
- Strong knowledge of international trade operations and contractual frameworks (FOSFA / GAFTA required)
- Experience working across international markets, with exposure to Europe, Asia, and/or MENA strongly preferred
- Proficiency in SAP systems is essential
- Experience in oils or related commodities is considered an advantage
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
