Location: Genf
The Programme Management Officer is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes and projects within the Innovation & Analytics Hub role involves data analysis, policy development, stakeholder engagement, resource mobilization, and outreach activities to support digital transformation and innovation initiatives.
Responsibilities- Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects, monitors and analyzes programme/project development and implementation, reviews relevant documents and reports, identifies problems and proposes corrective actions, liaises with relevant parties, and tracks follow-up actions.
- Performs consulting assignments by planning and facilitating workshops, assisting in change management, and fostering partnerships.
- Researches, analyzes and presents information gathered from diverse sources.
- Assists in policy development including review and analysis of issues and trends, preparation of evaluations or other research activities and studies.
- Undertakes survey initiatives; designs data collection tools; reviews, analyzes and interprets responses; identifies problems/issues and prepares conclusions.
- Prepares various written outputs such as draft background papers, analysis, sections of reports and studies, and inputs to publications.
- Provides substantive support to consultative and other meetings, conferences, including proposing agenda topics, identifying participants, and preparing documents and presentations.
- Undertakes outreach activities; conducts training workshops, seminars; makes presentations on assigned topics and supports visibility and communication.
- Participates in or leads field missions, including provision of guidance to external consultants, government officials and other parties and drafting mission summaries.
- Coordinates activities related to budget and funding including programme/project preparation and submissions, progress reports, financial statements, resource mobilization, donor reporting, and grant proposal development.
- Collects and analyzes data to identify trends or patterns and provide insights through data visualization methods to enable data-driven planning, decision-making, presentation and reporting.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics or a related field.
- A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is an advantage.
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area is required.
- Experience supporting the end-to-end development and delivery of data, digital transformation or innovation programmes, including business analysis, stakeholder engagement, work planning, implementation, results monitoring and donor reporting, is required.
- Experience in partnership development and stakeholder engagement, including donor relations, resource mobilization, fundraising, grant proposal development, donor reporting and management of voluntary contributions, is required.
- Experience planning and delivering multi stakeholder strategic outreach, high-level events, consultations, campaigns or partnership-engagement activities involving member states, donors, international organizations, civil society, academia or the private sector is desirable.
- Experience developing executive briefs, executive-level communications and outreach products that translate complex data, digital or innovation initiatives into clear and compelling narratives for senior leadership, partners and donors is desirable.
- Experience using professional graphic-design and digital-content tools, and workflow management tools including Adobe Creative Suite, to produce publications, presentations, campaign materials and other institutional communication products is desirable.
- English is required at UN Level III for reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
