Expected from candidate
:
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Trader who wants to join our team and learn the art of trading agricultural commodities. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with minimal work experience who has a strong interest in markets, data analysis, and trading. You will work closely with experienced Traders and actively participate in daily trading operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Trading Team Support:
    Assist senior Traders with daily trading activities and support.
  • Market Analysis:
    Collect and analyze relevant data and information on agricultural markets (demand, supply, price developments, weather, geopolitical factors).
  • Reporting:
    Prepare reports and presentations on market developments and trading positions.
  • Admin: files administration, maintenance of trading excels tools, freight matrix.
  • Data Management:
    Enter data into internal systems and perform data verification.
  • Logistics Coordination:
    Communicate with the logistics and operations department to ensure smooth delivery processes.
  • Research:
    Identify new trading opportunities and market trends.
  • Communication:
    Actively communicate with internal teams (logistics, finance, risk management).
Requirements
  • Education:

    University degree in economics, finance, business, agribusiness, logistics and/or another relevant field.
  • Market Interest:
    Demonstrated interest in financial markets, particularly agricultural commodities.
  • Analytical Thinking:
    Ability to quickly analyze complex data and draw conclusions.
  • Numerical Aptitude:
    Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail.
  • Language

    Skills:

    Fluent in English (both written and spoken) is essential; knowledge of German language is an advantage.
  • IT

    Skills:

    Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (functions, pivot tables); experience with other analytical tools is an advantage.
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proactivity:
    Self-starter, proactive approach to work, and willingness to learn new things.
  • Team Player:
    Ability to work effectively within a team.
