Key Responsibilities
A well established independent wealth management and investment advisory firm is looking to strengthen its investment team with the appointment of a Senior Investment Counselor / Portfolio Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced investment professional who combines strong multi-asset investment expertise with outstanding client relationship skills and a genuine passion for financial markets.
Portfolio Management- Manage and monitor discretionary, advisory and bespoke multi-asset investment mandates.
- Ensure portfolios remain aligned with strategic and tactical asset allocation views.
- Assess investment opportunities across asset classes, sectors, geographies and currencies.
- Contribute to portfolio construction, risk monitoring and performance analysis.
- Participate in investment discussions and support asset allocation and product selection decisions.
- Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for a sophisticated international clientele.
- Understand clients' objectives, risk tolerance and investment preferences.
- Deliver portfolio reviews, market updates and investment recommendations.
- Build long-term relationships based on trust, responsiveness and investment expertise.
- Clearly articulate investment views, portfolio positioning and performance drivers.
- Explain complex market and portfolio concepts in a concise and engaging manner.
- Prepare high-quality investment presentations and client materials.
- Contribute to investment committee discussions and broader strategic initiatives.
- Participate in client and prospect meetings.
- Support commercial initiatives and investment presentations.
- Represent the firm at industry and client events when required.
- University degree in Finance, Economics or related discipline.
- Significant experience in portfolio management, investment advisory or wealth management.
- Strong understanding of multi-asset investing, portfolio construction and risk management.
- Excellent knowledge of financial markets and investment products.
- Ability to discuss investment decisions with conviction and intellectual rigor.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable interacting with sophisticated private clients and professional counter parties.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
- Fluent English is required; additional languages are considered an advantage.
- Strong portfolio fluency and understanding of investment mechanics.
- Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
- Credibility and confidence when interacting with demanding clients.
- The ability to explain market developments, portfolio positioning and risk considerations with clarity.
- A proactive mindset, bringing ideas, recommendations and value-added insights.
- Sound judgement, discretion and a genuine client‑centric approach.
