Your Role
As Compliance AML Monitoring Officer at Bank J. Safra Sarasin you are a self-motivated, rigorous team player looking for a challenging and international work environment and provide high-quality transactional AML analysis, controls and reports for the Bank’s Compliance Department.
Your Responsibilities- Analyze and monitor transactions presenting an increased risk in relation to compliance with embargoes and application of anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing regulations, and carry out additional clarification process with the first line of defense
- Analyze occurrences provided by filtering and screening solutions and take action based on analysis results
- Control of AML related transactions pre-execution (pre-approvals) and ex post (KYT alerts)
- Customer group transactional reviews
- Carry out investigation and prepare any necessary communication to the competent authorities
- Answer to authorities' requests
- Realize ad-hoc AML reports
- Participate in ad hoc projects related to team activities
- Actively contribute to process efficiency
- Higher Education such as FH/University degree in law, economics or an equivalent education (e.g. CAS in Compliance Management)
- At least 4-5 years of relevant work experience in the field of AML Monitoring and Sanctions in the Swiss banking industry
- Strong analytical mind set with the ability to work thoroughly, flexibly and independently
- Good communicator and team player with an active attitude taking full ownership of tasks and area of responsibility
- Solution oriented with a pragmatic approach and readiness to closely work with colleagues and stakeholders, internally and externally
- Excellent interpersonal skills, hands-on mentality
- Strong work ethics, integrity and high level of accountability
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, knowledge in Avaloq and good Excel skills is an advantage
- Fluency in French and English;
Fluency in German or other language is a plus
