Compliance Officer – KYC & Transaction Due Diligence | Trade Finance department | fixe

On behalf of our client, a bank based in Geneva, we are looking for a Compliance Officer – KYC and Transaction Due Diligence to join the Trade Finance department on an 18-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will ensure ongoing regulatory monitoring (AML, Sanctions), help identify and prevent legal and reputational risks, and support Management and the Front Office in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing.

What you'll do:

• Customer Due Diligence on corporate and financial institutions' accounts
• Onboarding and periodic KYC review, including risk assessment on client structures
• Preparing High-Risk Client Committees (HRCC) and compliance recommendations
• Compliance monitoring and periodic spot checks
• Daily Transaction Due Diligence, including pre-transaction monitoring and analysis (World-Check, Google)
• MROS clarification and reporting

What we're looking for:

• Degree in law, compliance or economics
• Good knowledge of CDB/AML, AMLO, AMLO-FINMA and OFAC/EU/UK/SECO sanctions
• Good understanding of complex corporate structures and Trade Finance transactions
• Analytical mind, strong writing skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Fluency in English. French is a strong asset
