Credit Analyst – Commodity Trade Finance

On behalf of our client, a well-established private bank in Geneva active in commodity trade finance, Lexton Stanley is looking for a Credit Analyst to join its Credit Department.

Reporting to the Head of Credit, you will be responsible for the comprehensive review and preparation of credit files up to their submission to the Credit Committee, the review of security documentation, and close coordination with Account Management to ensure transactions are executed in line with approved Credit Proposals.

• Conduct a comprehensive and critical review of credit packages submitted by the Front Office, including up-to-date financial analysis of audited and unaudited financial statements
• Present the financials of analyzed companies to the Credit Committee
• Review Credit Approval Forms for proper alignment with the terms of credit packages
• Ensure receipt of the security/collateral requested by the Credit Approval, and consult with legal advisors on the form, genuineness and enforce ability of non-cash security
• Perform periodic review of borrowers' financial figures and flag any observed deterioration to Relationship Managers
• Review borrowers' annual audited figures and assign the annual credit risk rating
• Monitor maturity dates of ongoing Credit Approvals and ensure timely review and renewal
• Maintain credit files and documentation, ensuring they remain audit-ready
• Draft or review minutes of credit committees for your portfolio
• Respond to ad-hoc queries from Front Office and other stakeholders

• Prior experience in credit analysis within commodity trade finance
• Strong financial analysis skills, comfortable assessing both audited and unaudited financial statements
• Rigorous, detail-oriented, and comfortable working to Credit Committee deadlines
• Fluent in English;
  French is an asset
